Santa, a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy, is one lucky pup after being rescued having been abandoned outside in terrible weather conditions.
He was found at the Old Dairy in Festival Avenue, Salisbury, Wiltshire and was brought to a Dogs Trust charity centre.
He was surprisingly in good health despite being exposed to freezing weather conditions at the time he was found. Santa is now enjoying the comfort at the re-homing centre where he is receiving the love and care he deserves.
The Dogs Trust is unhappy of the continuing trend of giving puppies as Christmas presents. This only puts these innocent and admirable creatures in an uncertain fate.
Dogs Trust Chief Executive Clarissa Baldwin appeals to the public to think more than twice of using a dog/puppy as presents. She is the one who coined the slogan “A dog is for life not just for Christmas”.
